Three businesses later, I’ve felt every version of the overwhelm you’re carrying right now. The 2am list. The task that keeps getting moved to tomorrow. The moment you realize you’ve been busy all day and done nothing that actually moves the needle.
I burned out. Twice. The third time it tried to take me down, I found a better way.
At 55 I cried twice learning Python, then graduated top of my class. Not because I love code (I resisted it my entire career) but because I needed to understand what was happening under the hood of the tools I was teaching.
Turns out the same subscription you’ve had for years is sitting on more intelligence than most people ever touch.

Why I Do This Work
I’ve been looking for the shortest distance between A-B my whole life.
As a kid I used to count my steps. Because inefficiency bothered me at a cellular level. Some things don’t change.
In 1997 I sat at my kitchen table crying over Quark Express, convinced I’d never figure it out. I did. Then I built Taylor Design (named after my daughter) and spent 17 years turning a 40-page real estate magazine into three publications totalling over 300 pages. Automated InDesign scripts did what used to take days. In minutes.
I saw print dying in 2009 so I pivoted to web and social media and built Supernova Media. I was named one of Canada’s top 10 social media companies. And my work shared by HubSpot and PR Daily.
Then I burned out. Twice.
Because hustle isn’t a system. And busy isn’t the same as moving forward.
In 2023 I met AI for the first time and it felt like Christmas every day. I not only wanted to make it sing, I wanted to make it dance.
So I went back to school. Graduated top of my class. And never looked back.
Three businesses. Three pivots. One thing that never changed. The drive to find a better way.
